Temp - 9 am - 6 pm three days a week. (This is a part-time, three-days-a-week, in-person position.

Location: Stanford, CA 94305

Pay Rate Range: $35/hr. -$40/hr.

Reach out with initial requests and stay in contact with various event vendors including

caterers, equipment rental companies, etc.

Collaborate with the finance lead on our team to secure timely payments for each vendor

through POs or client credit card.

Keep records of all vendor communications and receipts.

Arrange and confirm all delivery details with vendors. Ex: provide driving directions, where

to deliver, when will be delivered where, etc.

Be available as the on-site contact for all event related deliveries.

Familiarize with d.school spaces to be used for the different events.

Field and respond to operational requests from d.school collaborators.

SKILL SETS

Clear written and verbal communication skills to communicate event needs with vendors.

This is a team-based project looking for an organized individual comfortable with working

on a team of 5 - 10 people and ready to contribute.

Responsive and prompt in all communication and completion of tasks.

Able to prioritize needs of different events.

Great attention to detail so that event details/paperwork are executed and recorded.

Understanding of short timeline based event projects.

Comfortable with using Google Drives for shared information updates and frequent email

follow ups.

SCHEDULE

Interested candidates must be able to work in-person on-site at the d.school from 9 am -

6pm three days a week. (This is a part-time, three-days-a-week, in-person position.)

Must be available for key events during the employment period:

Number of hours per week: 24 hours (three 8 hours days)

Shift timing/schedule: 9am 6pm (specific days of the week when the temp is needed on-site will vary week from week. We will pull out calendar and align dates upon hire.)

Requirements:

Great verbal and written communications skills to work with event vendors.

Organize and timely with event vendor managements.

Available for on-site deliveries and specific key events listed in job description.
